Vega Sicilia Alion 2021 is a classic wine from Ribera del Duero, made in a modern style with rich, generous fruit and lashings of spice. It's aged in 80% new French oak barrels for 12 months, which gives it a particular richness and depth. The wine has a full-bodied palate with ripe fruit and spiciness, held together with mellow tannins, firm minerality, and well-judged acidity. It's best paired with roast suckling pig or milk-fed lamb from Castilla.
