Matsu El Recio 2023 is a 100% Tinta de Toro grape variety wine. El Recio translates as 'the tough guy', and is a more serious, mature wine, made from the product of some of Toro's oldest vines, which are cultivated using advanced biodynamic techniques. Aged for 14 months in new French oak, this wine provides opulence and polish. It has intense and opaque deep black fruit, chocolate, roasted coffee bean, and vanilla pod aromas. The wine is voluptuous and weighty, with a firm structure, held together by silky tannins. It is suitable for drinking now or keeping for 2-5 years. This wine is a great pairing for rare asado-style beef fillet or sirloin.
