This young red wine is made from 100% Mencia grapes, the indigenous Spanish grape that thrives in the Bierzo region of North West Spain. The south-facing vines, situated at altitudes of 600 to 750 meters, allow the grapes to breathe at night and develop natural acidity and freshness. Fermented in stainless steel deposits and without oak, this wine showcases the pure fruity character of Mencia at its best. On the nose, it reveals black forest fruits aromas, such as blueberry, along with floral notes and mineral touches. The palate is dominated by black fruits, with a herbaceous touch in the aftertaste. This wine pairs well with meat dishes, a pork or chicken roast, pasta, cured cheeses, or Spanish ham and traditional cold cuts like Salchichon, Chorizo, and Cecina.
