“This was awesome! Set easy to assemble. Knife perfect for thinly slicing, flexibility helped. Quality and taste were superb. My Christmas treat. Even though I knew the weight was pleasantly surprised by how big it was. Mine was the 6.8kg option, though the review link shows 6.2-6.5kg. So much meat lasted me ages, eating some most nights with family. Will certainly buy again!”

“This Jamón is of excellent quality, I was hesitant about purchasing one from Amazon or this one from Basco, and although I can’t say anything about Amazon’s, the one from Basco is easily the best Jamon I’ve ever had. I carved a small platter for my manager at work and they loved it too.”

“The carving stand is a decent piece of kit and holds the Jamon rock steady making safe carving of thin slices a breeze all helped by a nice sharp knife. The real star, though, is the Jamon itself. We used to buy Jamon for some years, either on the internet or whilst on driving holidays in Spain but time after time we ended up with shoulders or legs that were so dried out as to be uncarvable and inedible. We gave up trying. A few days ago, not having tasted Jamon since pre-Covid and suffering from withdrawal symptoms, I decided to give the internet another chance. I liked the look of Basco's website and put in an order. Great decision. The meat is moist and softish with just the right amount of texture and chew. There is, in our opinion, just the right amount of fat. If you are the type of person who, when buying meat in the UK asks the butcher to trim every bit of fat off the cut, then Jamon is not for you. I believe that some fat is necessary to enhance the flavour (which this Jamon has in abundance) but the fat content is not excessive, just right. In short, an excellent product and how lovely to be able, at any time of the day, to be able to go and carve a couple of slices for a snack.”
