“This is an excellent quality Serrano ham and one of the better pre sliced versions I have tried. The slices are beautifully thin, making them easy to separate and ideal for serving on a charcuterie board, in sandwiches, or simply with fresh crusty bread and a drizzle of olive oil. The flavour is rich, savoury and well balanced without being overpowering. The ten month curing gives it a lovely depth while still keeping the meat tender rather than overly dry. Being made from free range pork from Northern Spain adds to its authentic character. The generous 500g pack offers excellent value, especially if you're entertaining or enjoy Spanish food regularly. It also works wonderfully with Manchego cheese, olives and a glass of Rioja. The only small drawback is that, like most large packs of sliced cured ham, it is best enjoyed fairly soon after opening, so smaller households may wish to divide it into portions. Overall, a delicious, authentic Serrano ham with excellent flavour, texture and value. I would happily buy it again.”
