Montanegra Iberico Bellota Lardo is a charcuterie product made in Extremadura by curing strips of fatback from Iberian black pigs with salt. Iberico lardo comes from pigs raised on a grass and acorn diet, which gives the meat and fat a sweet aroma and nutty flavor. This Iberico Lardo is not just lard; it's a melt-in-your-mouth delicacy. The fatback is salted and hung to dry for weeks, losing most of its water and transforming into a silky, spreadable block of piggy flavor. Serve sliced in thin, translucent pieces on warm toasted bread. Iberico Lardo is an ideal basting and flavoring agent for various cooking methods or can be enjoyed on its own.

it has amazing flavour ,is just like jamon iberico extract!! Wonderful sliced very thin on hot toast with olive oil and also with beans (I am cooking today a casserole of Judiones and have added some lardo, I think is a winning combination)

Very pleased with the lardo it arrived packed chilled well packed in a box and delivered on time. I used some yesterday thinly sliced and placed over tomato and pepper bruschetta which worked very well
