Title: Kripta Gran Reserva 2016 Description: This sparkling wine is a blend of 45% Macabeo, 20% Xarel·lo, and 35% Parellada grapes from very old vines in the Penedes region. The Kripta Gran Reserva 2016 has a straw color with golden hues and a slow-evolving, fine bubble structure. It is clean and bright with a sweet aroma featuring creamy notes of ripe fruit and vanilla, as well as slightly toasted and smoky undertones. The first taste is fine and elegant, with perfectly integrated bubbles. The development is pleasant, with a silky froth against a vanilla, ripe fruit, toasted, and truffle background. The aftertaste is long and complex, with vanilla standing out on a toasted and butter background, a result of the wine's extended aging process. Minimum aging 48 months with a cork.
