GRAPE VARIETIES Macabeo, Xarelo and Parellada TASTING NOTES The Can Xa winery is located in the Castellet and Gornal area of Penedes. The vineyard consists of 48 hectares of clay soil, low in organic material and chalk but with a high magnesium content which brings the acidity necessary to maintain the fresh taste of these cavas. Cava Can Xa is clean, crisp, fruity and refreshing. On the nose you can appreciate notes of lemon, mandarin, yeast and dried fruits. On the palate Cava Can Xa is fresh, delicate with a small tickle from the bubbles allowing the wine to have a vibrant finish. Second fermentation in bottle; minimum ageing for 9 months. FOOD PAIRING As an aperitif. Also perfect to accompany ham, cured meats and sausages, seafood, fish with sauce, rice, poultry, meats, semi cured cheeses and desserts.

Crisp, green apple and a perfect bubbly to share and celebrate. It gives champagne a run for its money. Great aperitif to quenching your thirst this Autumn lockdown.

We first ordered a bottle of this to tip us up to the free shipping minimum. When we tried it we immediately ordered 6 more. This is a really good value cava which compares favourably to champagnes of more than twice the price. Small bubbles and delicious! Quick delivery, well packaged and good communication.
