“Tempo 5 has been a very energy frugal boat. Not once did we need to plug into shore power as we had all the power we needed. Really comfortable boat with 2 small issues. Master bed shape was not comfortable for my 6ft length, had to use forward berth. It needs some hooks to hang up wet towels.”
“Collection and hand over was swift and painless.... was shown the ropes and handed over ..
Boat was easy to drive ( sail ... motor !!)
Plenty of room and storage .. took a couple of attempts to work out how to switch from controls inside to outside..
Cooked a nice supper .
Now to sleeping ... absolutely dreadful.. like sleeping on granite.. probably the worst night's sleep we have ever encountered... over three night we tried all 3 beds and realised they all as dreadful. Even bought a topper... did little to soften the granite .
The table was a issue as it didn't raise enough to get out easily and the material on the seating created alot of drag so it was a battle everytime we sat around the table
The nights were cold , we kept the heating on and the batteries ended up on 2% at 03:30 ... couldn't start the engine so suffered the cold
Apart from these fairly small issues we had a nice trip ..... but suffered from backache and lack of sleep which took afew days to come right ...”

We’re sorry to hear you found Tempo cold during your stay. That’s certainly not something we hear often, as she’s a popular boat and generally considered comfortable throughout the season. All of our boats are fitted with heating systems designed to keep things cosy, even in cooler weather.
Conditions on the Broads can vary quite a bit depending on the time of year and weather, so it can sometimes take a little adjustment with heating and ventilation to get things just right. If anything doesn’t feel right during a stay, our team are always on hand to help and would have been very happy to take a look.

“This was our first year with a smaller boat (previous 5 years on lullaby’s) the tempo was everything we excepted and more, the shower was amazing always hot, lovely fluffy towels !
Only negative for us was lack of storage for clothes but we have still booked it again for next year”

The boat was very clean and ready sooner than expected and the general service from Barnes Brinkcraft is very high. The Broads is such a lovely place to visit and the slower pace of life makes for a very relaxing holiday. We shall return...”
