Nice boat although we had upgraded which cost us more that double what we had already paid - so was a little disappointed. Beds not made which for the price you would have thought they would be. Smell from toilets was not nice water that came out was not nice.

Dear Nicola Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We’re pleased you liked Tempo, although we’re sorry to hear that some aspects of your holiday were disappointing, particularly after choosing to upgrade. As with all our boats, bedding is provided but the beds are not made up before arrival. We appreciate this may not have been what you expected and will review how clearly this is explained before booking. The boat’s water is filled from the mains but, as on most boats, it is stored in an onboard tank. It is therefore intended for washing and cooking rather than drinking, and we recommend bringing bottled drinking water. We were also sorry to hear about the smell from the toilets and the condition of the water. In very hot weather, toilet smells can become more noticeable, particularly if the holding tanks need pumping out or there is a partial blockage. Had we known during your stay, our team would have been very happy to come out, investigate and resolve the problem for you. We hope you were still able to enjoy your time on the Broads, and thank you again for bringing these points to our attention. All the best The Team at Barnes Brinkcraft

Excellent boat for 4 adults and a dog. Easy to manoeuvre and great fun! Easy to cook on board using well stocked galley. Welcome hamper was amazing!

Thanks for the lovely review, Ian. We're pleased Tempo suited your crew so well, including the dog! It's great to hear you made good use of the galley, and that the welcome hamper got your holiday off to a good start. All the best, The Team at Barnes Brinkcraft

Tempo is a great boat - dual driving position, inside when the weather is poor, or, as we were blessed with amazing weather, from the upper deck. This provides great views of the Broads and surrounding countryside. The boat has a decent sized kitchen, good sized fridge and microwave with grill and oven. The bow thruster is a brilliant invention for us not used to manoeuvring boats, it really does help with mooring. There were just 2 of us aboard, and we managed easily. Getting on and off is easy too. Tempo 4 is equipped with the best showers we have ever had on a hire boat. It also has plenty of power and charging sockets / points. WiFi is ok - similar with tv reception but think only ok due to to the signal in Norfolk. Who needs tv and mobile though when you can be exploring, fishing, at the pub or just talking with others exploring g the Broads. Have to say this sort of holiday, is so conducive to meeting other folk. The locals in Norfolk are extremely friendly and welcoming folk. Boating does seem to be bring out the best in folk, and there's always another mariner to help with a rope or a bit of guidance. We found also really helps to plan a few places you really want to visit, and to get guidance from one of the social chats about the Broads. Finally, have to say, Barnes Brinkcraft staff were all really helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Enjoy !

Boat presented in good order. Some additional hooks here and there would however help and the gap between sink and underside of worktop should be sealed with silicon. ( food and water trapped there creating health risk!) otherwise all very good and as expected.

The battery life on Brinks Tempo 2 was sub standard for an elite boat. This is our ninth boat and by far the worst in terms of battery storage. I suspect something inadvertently was drawing down the power. The layout of Brinks Tempo was nice, boat was clean on handover, if the power is sorted out this would be a great boat.

Dear Richard Thank you for your feedback, and also for your kind comments about Brinks Tempo 2 itself. We’re really pleased you enjoyed the layout and found the boat clean and well presented on handover. We’re sorry to hear the battery performance let the holiday down for you. That’s certainly not the experience we want guests to have, especially aboard one of our Elite boats, and we’ll be giving the electrical system and battery setup a full check following your comments. As the issue wasn’t reported to us during your holiday, we unfortunately didn’t realise there was a problem at the time. Our engineering team are always on hand throughout a holiday and would have been very happy to help investigate things for you. Brinks Tempo 2 is fitted with onboard telemetry, which in many cases allows us to remotely check systems and diagnose issues quickly — sometimes without even needing to interrupt your cruising. Thank you again for bringing it to our attention. We really do appreciate the feedback, as it helps us keep improving both our boats and the holiday experience for future guests.

The boat was very comfortable with a shower room which I could stand up straight in. I'am 6' 4"". Would have liked a softer mattress on the bed. Great having WiFi on the boat and a TV that showed programs although that was patchy on the upper reaches of the River Ant. A thoroughly relaxing week.
