“We were very disappointed with the condition of the boat. It was dirty and no soap in the toilet.
The main reason for our complaint is the GPS didn't work and horn didn't work either. This could have caused problems with the weather as it was raining a lot and if any issues we could not track our speed or use the horn to alert other water users.”

Thank you for getting in touch. I am sorry that you felt the boat was not as clean as expected. This is one of our older day boats, but we do still aim to clean and present all of our boats properly before hire, so I will pass your comments on to the team.
With regard to soap, we do not provide soap on board our day boats. The toilet areas are compact and, from experience, soap left on board during short hires does not tend to stay clean or hygienic between customers.

Regarding the GPS, we do not advertise GPS as a feature on our day boats. The boat is speed-restricted to a maximum of 6mph, and we advise customers to travel at around a fast walking pace, approximately 4mph, which is a suitable speed for the Broads.

“Really enjoyed the day but the boat could have been cleaner, the fridge was unuseable and toilet smelly and not cleaned properly from previous guests .
There was no kitchen utensils on board (cups ,plates or cutlery, it would have been helpful if we were made aware of this .
When a kettle is provided you would expect mugs or cups to be provided.”

The issues you've highlighted with the fridge and toilet are certainly not the standard we aim to provide, and we apologise for the inconvenience this caused. We have shared your comments with our team so that these areas can be checked and addressed.
We only wish we'd been made aware of the problems before you left the yard, as we would have done everything possible to put things right and ensure you could enjoy your day without these concerns.
Regarding the crockery and cutlery, these are not normally supplied on our day boats, although we appreciate that this wasn't as clear as it could have been. Following feedback such as yours, we've improved the information on our website and booking confirmations to make this clearer for future guests.
