“most of the week we had a good time on this boat. On thursday we found we had a lot of steam comming from the back of the boat, I rang the boatyard and they said this problem was common with this type of boat so we carried on with our holiday and found that if we slowed right down or stopped for a bit the tempreture went down. But we still had an enjoyable holiday and if we come to the broads we will use you again.”
“The boat needs better curtain arrangements.
The main area has no curtains/blinds at all which made us feel very exposed when moored up
In places l like Norwich. The curtains in the rear bedroom hang vertically down from sloping windows which means passersby can see people in bed. A simple curtain wire across the bottom of the windows to tuck the curtains behind at night would fix the problem.
The boat is a bit dated but ok for a short holiday.

For anyone reading this review, Harmony should have curtains for the main saloon area, although they may be stored in one of the drawers when they’re not in use. We’re sorry you weren’t able to locate them during your holiday, particularly as this left you feeling exposed when moored in busier places such as Norwich.
Having looked at the rear windows, it also appears that there may be popper studs designed to hold the bedroom curtains against the sloping windows. As Harmony is currently out on hire, we aren’t able to check this immediately, but it would be worth future guests looking for these when putting the curtains up.
Thank you for raising the issue. We’ll check both the saloon curtains and the rear bedroom curtain fittings when the boat returns, and make sure the arrangements are clear for future guests.

“We were a group of 8 good friends,4 couples.
The hand over was short but sufficient, the boat was well equipped but very cramped, toilets and bathrooms being very small . The central seating area was perfect for our party , the retracting roof was great .
Although daunting at first the size of the boat was relatively easy to moor up lunch times and evenings
We had a lovely 4 days , at a relaxing pace taking in the wildlife, sunsets and sunrise
We would definitely do again , and would recommend Barnsbrinkcraft.”
“Really enjoyed our holiday on this extremely easy to drive boat.
It is well equipped and comfortable.
The only issue we had was the oven which is placed rather high and it was a bit difficult to get things out of it without burning an arm.

“We have holidayed on the Norfolk Broads several times before but never this time of year.
It was extremely cold and wet and we ended the holiday a day early.
The top rolling back section wasn't fitting properly and off its rungs, it took three to get it back on before we left the boatyard but water was running in at the front in the morning and all the seats were damp.
The boatyard was flooded ( realise this is weather and no control) but we had planned to go to Cottishall and were told we couldn't fit under the bridge due to flooding. It would have been useful to know this before arriving.
Also although we notified we were coming back a day early, our cars were parked in deep water and only way off the boat to cars was walking through deep water. It would have been helpful to have had some wood placed accross the exit to prevent us all having wet feet.”
