“Once again an amazing stay... nothing too much trouble for the staff... nice hamper on collect...
This time at the start of the season so a little busy..
One of the hottest weeks ever.. i brought my own 20inch fan but had to purchase another insanely large fan to stay cool..
Bare that in mind if staying in the summer they dont not have fans so bring your own..
Tv in the living needs to be larger also the tv in the twin room at the far end needs retuning but because theres a tv code I wasnt able to sort do it myself...
Day boat chucked in for free BIG bonus... but with my dad getting older these arnt suitable for older people as my dad fell backwards into the boat almost hitting his head of the seating..
These need to be replaced with the more suitable walk in pontoon boats.. which are amazing and more accessible..
With only having three in the fleet you would have to rent it for the week costing over £700.. the the quicker these are replaced the better...
Other than that I would be more than happy to live there... i could change things about but I dont own or live there unfortunately

“Had a great stay in the Mallard. Location is brilliant for watching the boats and swans passing by and the boatyard activities. Kitchen is well equipped and there's plenty of room. Loved the peaceful balcony in the evenings when all was calm. Only downside is weak water pressure for showering in ensuite, a little better in the main bathroom. Yes TV is small (previous review) but we didn't bother using it with such a nice view outside and a good book.”
“The location of the house is brilliant it's so interesting to see the birds and boats going by all day and the evening too! We love Wroxham and it so central to everywhere coastline or city and country side.
The mallard was clean but not exceptionally clean- looked to me like just a cloth had been used to wipe over things - the bed and sheets clean and well made but the mattress on both doubles could do with replacing- both where lumpy and sloped on one side the living area is spacious and kitchen clean however the sofas are just soo!! Uncomfortable!!! Lumpy and bumpy very difficult to sit comfortably in had to use the spare pillows from the beds ! I to be able to sit on them for long - I did mention this last year when we stayed in the Daisy the sofa's where the same there and you did say you would hopefully be upgraded the living room furniture! I have been coming here to the Mallard since 2019 and they are the same Sofas!! So an upgrade is definitely needed - we stayed in more than usual because of the weather and it would have been so much better if we had decent sofas/ armchairs to sit in !! I would like to say that the Barnes brinkcraft staff are all very helpful and polite. We love having use of the boat. But for a 4 star accommodation it is failing in my eyes.”

First time with barnes and you couldn't fault anything..nice welcome staff were always friendly nothing was too much trouble...
There was only three things to complain about well not complaints more observations.
1. Day boat has a tiny engine and so sound proofing so on a long journey the sound from engine and the clunk from the drive shaft all day might take its tolls..
Im use to cruisers so can deal with it but was amplified so much more in a dayboat..
2. The roku tvs are absolutely rubbish to say the least First time using them and wont say much than that lol... also the main tv in the living room I was expecting like a 50inch tv... andni think was a 30inch in such a mahoosive house in the far corner was disappointing but made do...
3.. we found out very quickly there need to be a dom waiter lift where you park your cars so when you come back from a food shop you can chuck it in there... because those stairs with heavy bags hit you hard and fast lol..
But for an out of season break in wroxham and with a new company... we enjoyed it rather well and look forward to our next trip... like I say just observations and not complaints..”

We'll feed back your comments ,,, not sure we can do much about installing a dumb waiter ... but we note your comments on the TV. We are slowly moving all our dayboats to electric .... a much quieter offer .... unfortunately, it will take a few years. In the meantime we'll check out the dayboat on Mallard ... it should not be that noisy
