“Written by 2 elderly ( over 70 clients) with disabilities. Boat was excellent - bow and stern thrusters helped with mooring which hubby had to do on his own. Flat bottomed boat without steps other than those to gain access to dry land. Bed was firm for us but to walk around it was bliss - no bunks half enclosed under the upper deck, no being squished like peas in a pod. Queen sized bed with access from both sides. Tv picked up channels like a dream though we only used the one in the rear cabin. Netflix, Prime, app channels and the usual free view ones. Internet was excellent coverage and using my lappy and phone was fine. Battery life was again excellent and there was no problem using a CPAP machine overnight ( sleep apnea machine). The fridge is a medium full sized fridge with a tiny freezer section - enough for ice cubes and maybe an ice pack or two. The kitchen section was well laid out and very well equipped. We had an extremely hot week and l was loathe to cook but if you wanted you could cook absolutely anything with the utensils pans etc provided. We didn’t utilise the sliding canopy as we were grateful to keep out of the sun but in a “normal” uk summer this would have been lovely especially as it slid so easily, leaving the possibility to use half the canopy as a wind break if needed. The shower was the best l have ever had on a boat and is full sized. The door to the bathroom is however rather tight to get through if you carry weight- don’t be put off by this comment as if we got through you certainly will! The boat isn’t as nice to drive as those that have a higher driver seating position but we booked it because of it being flat floored, the layout, the thrusters and the reversing camera. We did struggle with the forward and back steps to exit the boat to shore but l can’t really see how the boat could have been built differently. Stern mooring would have been easy. Unless you are going to plan to eat out take plenty of food with you to avoid sometimes long walks to the closest shop. There is loads of storage on board for food and for clothes. Better to take clothes in a hold-all as suitcases are always a pain on a boat. If young this craft would be great to get on and off a paddle board.”
“Really good boat with plenty of space for 2 and could easily manage 4. Easy to get on and off and bow and stern thrusters help with mooring. All the facilities you need on board”
“We loved this boat, so easy to pilot, very responsive. Great to have camera at the back for ease of mooring. The batteries were supberb, no need to worry what we used at all. The only thing we didnt like was the position of the small narrow shelf for the kettle and toaster. The bed was a great size and the most comfortable bed we have had in all our 25 years of boating.”
We're delighted you enjoyed your holiday aboard Chorus. It's great to hear she was such a pleasure to handle, and that the cameras, batteries and that comfortable bed all helped make your stay even better.
We hope to welcome you back for your 26th year on the Broads!
All the best,
The Team at Barnes Brinkcraft
“Chorus is a very convenient boat. It has both bow and stern thrusters, which make manoevering very straightforward plus there is a rear view camera so that you can see the difficult to see places.
The boat has a 240v power supply provided by batteries and an inverter. This means you have power
every when you are not hooked up.
The accommodation is very comfortable - especially the bed. The full size shower is a real luxury on a boat.
The boat is low. This means it is easy to get on and off AND there is no anxiety getting under bridges.”
“A fabulous boat with a super shower I could use,I’m 6ft and could stand upright, plenty of storage space and the pilots seat was comfortable as was the main seating”
“We really enjoyed our week aboard Corus. it was comrortable and easy to control and moor especially as we are both 75 and not as mobile as we were. there were a few minor design niggles however.
1) The toilet is situated where the lids cannot be raised completely making sitting uncomfortable.
2) the only mirror in the toilet was too high for my wife as she is only 5ft1".
3) the raised platform for the drivers seat sticks out near the fridge we tripped over it anumber of times.
otherwise everything was good.

“Our first time with Barnes Brinkscraft. We will never go anywhere else. We had a week on the Chorus 2. It was absolutely amazing. The boat had all the luxuries of home and more. Loads of storage capacity for clothes. Kitchen is very well equipped with a combi oven which was wonderful and so easy to use. With bow and stern thrusters it is very easy to moor this boat. The boats batteries added with the solar panels means you don't have to worry about shore power. We had the heating on all night and it never dropped below 82% battery life. You do need to motor for at least 4 hours a day which is very easy to do. The bed is very comfortable. Shower is fabulous also. We have rebooked our next 2 holidays on the Chorus. If you are looking to hire a boat and explore the beauty of the Norfolk Broads then book with Barnes Brinkcraft. . You will have a wonderful time. Thankyou so much.”
“Excellent Company to deal with and superb boat, which was new. Boat was a perfect layout for a couple and very well equipped. The bow and stern trusters were also a great addition for somebody who hasn't had much sailing experience.
Many thanks.”
