“We ordered two Ullswater sofas and the customer service and delivery service was prompt and polite. We were initially very happy with our purchase. Shortly after delivery(around 3 wks) we noticed the seat on the sofa being used most frequently had begun to sink, not just slightly but significantly and to an unacceptable level. We requested an inspection which was carried and was told that we can expect around 30% seat sinkage in the first few weeks, which we were very surprised and disappointed to hear. We were not satisfied with inspection and felt the chap who did it was not particularly accommodating. We have since tried to resolve this with Barker and Stinehouse but they have simply fobbed us off to the Ombudsman and don’t provide any further assistance, in summary they’ve washed their hands of it We don’t want a refund or even a different sofa, we are not unreasonable and just want the ones we ordered to be repaired to perform as expected. However they refuse to help any more so we are forced to go the ombudsman route, very poor.”
