“This is a great chair when you see it online and in the showroom, unfortunately I’ve had so many issues with this order that I had to give it a one star review. The chair wooden base is incredibly badly made and one of the 2 chairs that I ordered arrived cracked and split. Barker and stonehouse said they would send a new one to replace it, the second one arrived split and cracked in another part- barker and stonehouse said they would replace it- the same cracked chair was sent again to be delivered. I had to reject the order numerous times and then explain again to customer service the issue.
It was all a bit of a nightmare with the back and forth and honestly even though I was super excited about 2 talbot chairs, the customer service was incredibly disappointing- you’re always pushed off to some one different who doesn’t know your case and have to explain again and again the issue. I really wanted the 2 chairs for my living room but also want to ensure they are well paid as you are paying nearly £400 a chair.
Anyway, I’ve end up with 1 chair not 2 chairs as the delivery for the second chair was such a nightmare- also BEWARE the chair won’t fit easily through a regular door frame. It’s such a shame as I was super excited about the items.”
