“She cried when I turned her on because she didn’t like to be upside down, seems to respond to my voice and movements very well, turning her head, burping when being held up against me and being patted on her back and falling asleep when rocked. Stomach and hand sensors seem to work but I’m uncertain about the one in her foot, she’s possibly just making her normal random sounds. The bottle has to be pressed up against the back of her mouth for it to work and then it feels like you’re forcing it into her mouth, and with the pacifier you have to do the same thing so leaving it in her mouth does nothing. But she seems to like to suck on whatever you put into her mouth and press against the back of it as I tried one for another doll except it was too big and fell out. Not sure if mine has some defects, I suspect that the foot sensor is defective, I can see that it’s there by shining light trough it but it doesn’t seem to do anything. Otherwise it’s a very good quality doll, both soft and heavy, the soft body has nice cloth, the plastic feels soft and the more rubbery face is quite nice to the touch. Top of her head is hard plastic and feels hollow when tapped but then again, it’s a head so you don’t really do that except to check quality and it seems solid, and also most likely needs to be this hard to protect the mechanisms for the face inside. The clothes are nice but her hat falls off easily, not the headband however, that’s permanently attached. (I don’t really recommend using safety pins to attach her hat to the headband if you give it to a child like I’m currently doing myself, however, sewing on a rubber band that goes underneath her chin should keep it in place, works well for other dolls with this problem only I haven’t had time yet but I found this lazy solution.) Going into sleep mode (battery function) I felt that she was too rigid and mechanical and didn’t even know if she was going to even close her eyes but she eventually did, rocking her to sleep while on felt a lot more satisfying. Do expect the motors inside to make mechanical noises when she moves, that’s just expected from a mechanical doll, I don’t find them to be overly loud or annoying like some dolls might be however. Well that’s all I can think of for now, I’m a little bit on the older side for a “doll mum” but that just means she’s not my first. I’ve had other older Baby Alive dolls and I think they are overall still a good brand for at least the mechanical ones, and their special look, basically that they aren’t trying to be too realistic with it. Despite being freaked out about the oversized eyes the first time I saw one (got spooked by the movements since I didn’t know what to expect when I pressed to try it haha) I’ve most certainly grown to love it myself. Those eyes ended up being what sold me on buying my first, sometimes first impressions aren’t everything. I do love her, but she’s not perfect, hence a four star.”

“Such an amazing doll my granddaughter who is 3 was fascinated and over the moon with her and so was her elder sister who is nearly 6. The way she giggles,cries turns her head when you talk to her she does loads of other things but to many to mention!!The best is when she looks at you and blinks those beautiful big blue eyes really perfect.I ordered this doll and was really happy and totally 100% satisfied with the quick efficient delivery of this really reliable company - thank you very much.”

“This baby alive is amazing. I got it my daughter age 5 for Christmas and is so worth the money . I'm so impressed with the doll and so is my daughter, she talks ,moves and lots of other things . This baby doll has been everywhere with us and she sleeps with it every night. My friend also loved it that much I ordered one after Christmas for her daughter . I would recommend this doll 1000% to anyone”
