Really impressed with the quality of the Almanac I received. I was even more impressed with the personal touch Barbless Flies provided from start to finish. It makes a difference in the digital age and I got a strong sense of being a valued customer. Great job team, I'm sure I will be back for more.

A splendid little volume, and a great guide as to how to fish particular patterns. The book is extremely well presented and full of very clear illustrations, going through step-by-step in a clear and constructive way each element of the methods discussed. The month-by-month approach is also very helpful. By way of a constructive observation, perhaps the smaller print on the Life Cycle diagram(p.31) might be a little clearer, whiter maybe? Pale blue on a darker blue is not too clear; the stages of the development from nymph to spinner are a little lost against that background also. Would it also be worth including photographs or drawings showing the different characteristics of a river and where fish might be found, eg. riffles, eddies, channels, bubble currents, pools and so on? I am truly pleased with my copy. Many thanks to you, Richard, and all the team for the effort that went into the book’s production. It is a valuable asset to my kit. Chris Blackwell, Fulwood, Preston.

As a relative newcomer to the ancient art of fly fishing the information within the almanac I found to be very useful all that is needed is more hours on the lakeside banks to apply the advice given.
