I already use these perdigons in larger sizes and these micro versions are useful for shallower water.

These nymphs have produced great results for me, on the Nidd, Wharfe and Yorkshire Calder. I fish them on the dropper, with a heavier nymph on the point. They sink quickly and therefore they are in the zone from the start of the drift. A slight uplift works, for both Trout and Grayling. No quality issues.

I am loath to put a mediocre review at all for Barbless Flies as I have always been impressed in the past - and so it is with apologies I have to do so here am afraid. Barbelss Flies are not the cheapest of course, but quality wise and in terms of pattern uniqueness they have always been exceptional in the past . These micro perdigon nymphs certainly look the business (although in the old days one might have expected a cheap but nice little fly box to go with the hefty price tag). I have caught a few fish with them tbh, but what seems to happen is they unravel quite quickly being caught on sharp trout teeth and (in two cases) have also had the hook partly straightened so I have missed subsequent fish without first realising what had happened. This is admitedly stillwater fish of around the 2lb + mark so maybe bigger than river fish if this is a river fly - but I wouldnt have thought they should straighten quite so easily. Not looking to gain anything from this critique (and certainly not looking for refunds for something sold in good faith) just offering up an honest observation as was requested.

These just do the business time and time again on a local stillwater near me when the trout are a little bit fussy. Although primarily for running water they work equally well in the lake environment. Definitely worth getting a set for a try when the going gets tough! Well done Barbless Flies.

Tiny little perdigons drop quickly in the water but can be tweaked in the flow to attract summer trout
