“Tried it out on the Derbyshire Wye Yesterday it cast beautifully, it lfelt a little stiff as the instructions warned that it wold for the first few outings. My big mistake however was not to treat it with floatant before I started. It sank after about an hour's use and I believe the advice is not to 'grease' a wet line because you seal in the moisture. I did manage to catch a lovely grayling of about 1lb however and the lack of stretch made bringing it quickly to the net an easy task. So, I don't feel I have been able to give it a proper test yet and that is the only reason for withholding the 5th Star! Once I've dried it out I will apply the Mucilin and be ready for the next trip!”

“I’ve not had time to try my Ian Moxon Silk Fly Line yet but I’m really looking forward to trying it out on my local River Alyn before the Grayling season ends. I have a 7ft #4 weight Bamboo rod that I had built by Gary Marshall to pair it with. I have no reason to believe that my new Ian Moxon Silk line will not perform as expected and can’t wait to try it out. I have made several purchases from Barbless Flies and have not been disapointed. The ordering and delivery service is first class as are their trout flies. They have become my go to supplier for flies.
