“As a family we love the Dukdalf chairs - they are of good quality but lightweight and comfortable. They are also incredibly well made: our last set of Aspen chairs were purchased about 20 years ago and whilst the colour has faded, it was only this week that a screw broke so we decided it was time to replace them. Last year we purchased some additional Dukdalf chairs but they were a different range so I wanted replacement Aspen. They arrived and if anything are even lighter than the originals purchased decades ago, but I think that’s at the cost of design. The bar at the front of the seat was broken - a replacement chair was promptly received - but the bar should house the extending footrest. I would not risk balancing the footrest on this bar as it is only attached by a single screw: the original Aspen and the Dynamic range include an additional casing for reinforcement, making the bar more sturdy. What a shame that the design has been altered.”
