The Avaris Odysey mountain bike is amazing fun! Riding through the forests and trails with all the fun of the downhills and the fantastic pedal assist on the uphills. To get the best results you should change your gears as often as you would on a normal bike so you are always in the optimum gear when you need it. This method allowed me to only use pedal assist level 1 which I found gave great assistance on the uphills removing the pain while still getting the gain of a great workout and the energy to stay out and ride for longer.

An excellent bike, especially at the price compared to similar e-bikes on the market. The assist and power is amazing and gives you the lift when you need it. The brakes are brilliant as well. Very impressed.

This is the second bike I’ve had from Avaris and after doing 200+ miles on the 2.3 and getting into road cycling during the summer months. I thought I’d try the Mountain bike. I was a little apprehensive about getting a mountain bike since it’s a completely different riding experience and terrain to road. I’ve truly enjoyed getting on the bike and I’m getting more adventurous the more I go out. The handling is smooth, and the battery gives a serious boost and has an impressive range. I’m no bike expert but the bike seems good value compared to similar bikes on the market that are £ 3K plus. This bike certainly does everything I require for now. I may look at a full-suspension mountain bike in the future if I get more adventurous.

Been taking and testing this bike for a few months. I use it for leisure and for commuting, my commutes around 15miles some of which can be done off road which I usually always do unless it’s raining. I usually put it in the lowest on the assist on the way to work and assistance 3 on the way home. Hills are now a breeze and going riding at the weekends has become much more fun and much less strenuous. Would definitely recommend.

I’ve had so much fun riding this bike, very smooth, great brakes and built like a slender tank. Although a mountain bike I often use it to commute to work, since I don’t like riding road bikes and feel much more comfortable on a mountain bike. Strong assist too, I don’t use my car half as much now which is a big positive given the price of petrol!

This is the first time I’ve used an electric mountain bike. I’ve had the bike for a few weeks now and used it on all types of terrain, and it’s handled them all. A beast of a bike! The assist is very strong, the brakes impressive and the handling very smooth. The only problem is that it’s heavy if you're wanting to put the bike in your car to transport it to trails

Stylish, strong bike, had a few questions when putting together and before setting off, the team at Avaris helped out and were very informative. The assist is impressive and makes cycling much easier for me, enjoyed riding in the final summer evenings.

At 63 years old, I thought it was about time to get an eBike since I’m no longer a whipper snapper, but still love cycling. Did a lot of research and decided on the Avaris. Blown away with the capabilities of this bike, I can now travel much further than I was doing before without anything being too taxing or getting to a destination and thinking I’m too knackered to get back. Also been heading out with my 26-year-old son who I can now more than keep up with to the point he’s now decided to go electric!
