“I have a Cambridge CXN and a CXA61 hooked up to two very old (late 70's) StudioCraft 'Bose Engineered' speakers that I have from new and I've been thinking of upgrading the cables and quite probably speakers as one was 'fading away'.
I decided to change the cables first and see where this led and since I need a 5.5m run to the furthest speaker I opted for the QED XT40i cable over the XT25 and other available cables.
OTT some may say but oh what a remarkable difference they have made - the new cables have given the speakers a refreshing lease of life with crisp clean sound, across the whole spectrum - I'd even go so far as to say they seam to have a greater range now. So, definately money well spent.
