“I have been using a VPI record cleaning machine since they were first introduced; we're talking late 80s. So, I know the products well. The fluid cleans records very well and is extremely cost-effective and cheap to ship. It is not convenient, since it must be mixed with a gallon of distilled water, which means you have to pour out several ounces of the distilled water to make room for the fluid, so you can shake it up, and then pour the rest of the water back into the jug. VPI, could you find a better way?”
“The VPI cleaning solution I ordered works great with my VPI machine. It’s nice to mix up your own and have plenty for my vinyl collection. Also nice to have it by the turntable for cleaning. Easy to use and now I have plenty for the future!”
“This is my go to solution, especially for cleaning brand newrecords. If i's used vinyl, I usually apply it and let it sit for 5 minutes or so, then vacuum it off. I's definitely cost effective and it works great..”
“While I can't speak to the actual cleaning properties / chemicals of this fluid to others, what I can is its behavior on the record surface. A couple other fluids I've tried bead or gather in certain areas of the surface, not evenly spreading out. Not so with the VPI; diluted in a gallon of RO or distilled water, this fluid spreads out and evenly covers while brushing. IMHO, it's got to be doing a better job.”
