There are a lot of monkey business articles out there on how to replace those felt pads. I've actually done it myself. You spent this much money on a machine that does amazing things. Why would you cheap out on the replacement parts? I will choose to buy the genuine article from now on.
These last a very long time and compared to the price of the cleaner itself, well that's simple to me. Besides, you can always make a 7 inch or 45 RPM cleaner out of the old one you are replacing.”
