“The build quality is impeccable. I first hooked it up with a usb cable and thought it was awful sounding. I tried a coaxial cable next. The sound was better but still not worth the cost of the transport. Like the transport my MSML SU-10 dac also has an I2s connection but the 2 aren't compatible. The wonderful thing about the CT90 is that there are 10 different ways to configure the connection. After setting the right configuration the sound was incredible. Everything was right and tight with a definite grin factor.
Now it sounded worth the money. I did not know it could sound this good.
I've been collecting cd's since they first came out and none off my previous players came close to the sound quality.”

Like the CT90 my SMSL SU-10 dac also has I2s for a connection. I was blown away by that connection. Now the sound is right and tight. It's an awesome transport with the right connection. The only problem with I2s is that the pinouts were not the same on the 2 units. Had to reconfigure so they match. After that a match made in heaven with a significant grin factor. I did not know CDs could sound so good and detailed.”
