“One of the best value-per-dollar amps out there bar none. Great sound, intrgrated BT and great remote features. This would be more in the $1500.00+ realm of amps and not the sub $1K. The silver is a 50.00 more in some cases but look very nice and wort the esthetic bump.”
“This is a successor to my advent model 300 (just too old but still love), it has brought new vibrancy along with high end speaker cable to my Bowers & Wilkins DM12 (also > 30y old). I think by building a quality overperformer Rotel has done a nice job. Thus far I have only used Bluetooth with Tidal, and the aptX was report pcm 44.1k and sounded good. I recommend this for basic straight ahead stereo system.”
“I've been looking at this IA for quite some time now, finally pulled the trigger and am even more impressed with it than I hoped. I have tinnitus so I can't listen to loud music anymore so I needed an IA that would shine at low volumes. I learned about the Fletcher Munson curve and realized I needed an IA that at minimum had adjustable bass and treble to boost them at low volumes. The A11 tribute not only has that but 2 somewhat mysterious modes called Rotel Boost and Rotel Max. The Rotel Max is fantastic. Unlike typical Loudness controls or even manually adjusting bass and treble, the Rotel Max is extremely clean, well balanced and full. It make listening at low volumes very satisfying. You can really hear the full range of music with great separation of instruments and vocals. It even has sufficient and clean bass. And this is when listening on Martin Logan Helos 100 ceiling speakers!
The Bluetooth aptX also exceeded my expectations. Once I configured my Galaxy S8 for aptX, it connected easily to the A11 and the sound quality is really hard to believe. They say aptX is CD quality and now I believe it.
One of the features that drove me to the A11 is the remote. It includes full tone control including switching between the options (bypass, manual tone control, Rotel Boost and Rotel Max), and adjusting bass and treble when in manual mode. However, I'm enjoying the Rotel Max so much, I haven't really been switching. The volume control is also great in that it is VERY granular. Going up 1 number is barely noticeable. So you can really fine tune the volume to get it exactly where you want it.
The build quality of the unit is great. Very solid. The design in intuitive and simple. And the sound quality is superb. I can't be happier with this unit.

“It takes a while for this amp to come "on song," as the British like to say. When it does, you'll be rewarded with exceptional clarity and truth of timbre. Don't overdrive it, though. Best in smaller rooms with reasonably sensitive speakers. The matching CD player is a winner, too. Do you need to spend more? I am using it with $8,000/pair Harbeth speakers. Built-in Bluetooth is a great convenience.”
