“I purchased Record Doctor X for my main system, and will continue to use Record Doctor VI on my secondary smaller system.
The two sided vacuuming feature was the reason for the upgrade.
My only complaint is the slow rotation speed when applying the cleaning fluid. Being able to rotate the album manually on the VI was both faster and more efficient in getting more cleaning fluid onto the record in less time.
So even though the vacuuming process takes less time, the cleaning process takes longer.
If you can live with that, then purchasing Record Doctor X is worth it.”
Thank you for your review. The turning speed was carefully calculated to remove all of the cleaning fluid, dust, gunk and dirt in a single pass. The Record Doctor VI requires two or more passes to do this. We then recommend running the turntable in reverse for an extra-deep clean. We hope you enjoy your new machine.
