Pro-Ject Wallmount it 1 - Black New Reviews

4.2 Rating 10 Reviews
This was going to solve all my problems. Isolating the turntable from shelves. The only problem I see and encountered was the turntable platform sitting on four pointed isolaters. This shelf wants to slip and move with any touch. I used a small square of thick rubber to add more isolation and much less movement. Good product but couldn't give it five stars due to the stability issues.

Lovely piece of work. Instructions were easy to follow. I have my Thorens 295 on it. I used the mounting screw size shown in the instructors for the middle mounting screw (which was centered on the 2x4 stud. The outer mounting screws were from a drywall mounting packaged kit which were rated for 75 lbs. I purchased that kit from Lowes. Very pleased with the install. If you follow the E-Z Ancor Drywall Anchor instructions, you will have solid mount for turntable.

This is an easy to assemble heavy duty turntable platform with a nicely finished metal frame designed to reduces vibration by being wall mounted and using isolation spikes for the shelf board to set on, and it works, I used it to get a tube amp off the speaker I had it setting on, but it should work well for a turntable it was meant for. I think this is a great product, but could be better if it included the mounting screws and wall anchors or wall plugs.. 5x Screw 5x50 (not included). 5x Wall plug (not included). All other assembly hardware was included. An upgrade would be for the shelf board to have some holes or dimples to keep it from sliding on the spikes it sets on for people that might move things around on the self a lot, otherwise is stays put during regular use and not a big deal, but you may want to add the holes yourself during assembly, I was too lazy to measure where they would go :)

Dollar for dollar does good job. Install easy. The only real design flaw is the lack of depressions or holes where the bottom of the shelf hits the very small upward facing spikes; the shelf itself is quite slick and easily moves. After marking the four contact points I used a punch to create depressions in the shelf, that sits on top of the spike points, and holds the shelf in place. Still, recommended.

This is a high quality shelf. Easy to install. Does a excellent job of reducing vibrations from local foot traffic. After install, I jumped up and down in front of my system. Silence. If I did this previously, the TT cover could be heard bouncing up and down on the plinth. I want to take off 1/2 star for the flimsy shelf surface, but I don't think this merits a full deduction.

This product works very well with my newly renovated Thorens turntable. You have to be very careful when installing it because the mounting holes are not 16" OC as they should be.

Thanks for the tip. This unit was designed for the European metric market and not to US or British Imperial measurements.
