“I bought this because I've had the Pro-Ject RM5 turntable for about 20 years with no problems. This CD player sounds good enough for my office system (4 stars). It's small size is a plus in my system. (5 stars) But what good is a CD player if it doesn't work reliably?
I have problems with the buttons on the faceplate, from simply turning the unit on, to getting it to play, FF, etc (0 stars). They do not usually work on my first attempt. The really, really cheap feeling/looking remote (0 stars) has to be almost directly in front of my player for the player to register a command (0 stars). If I'm about 20 degrees or more off center, it won't work. I would have bought the less expensive Cayin Mini-CD MK2 CD Player if I had known about it (it may not have been available yet?) before buying this. Oh well. You win some, you lose some. 1.8 stars.”
“overall this is a good product, the small form factor works well in my small space. The control buttons on the unit need to be pressed firmly and squarely to get reliable activation which is somewhat annoying. The remote is also not the greatest.”
“The CD player sounds pretty good. However, the buttons on both the front of the unit and the lame remote are sub-par. I love the form factor, and again, the sound is pretty good, just don't expect perfect functionality all the time with the controls.”
“Audio seems fine. However the remote is not what I would expect from a product at this price point. Cheap generic unit like I would expect from a Chinese knock off. The unit is also very slow to respond to any button push. I would not buy again.”
