“I was very pleased w/ the 2" drawers, they have the typical Pangea quality - good design & consistent finish. The robust packaging ensured they arrived undamaged. As others have said, they are excellent for storing remotes & turntable accessories. I had no trouble installing them 'from the top' - I removed the turntable, unscrewed the top fasteners & top shelf, then laid the drawer in place. A thin screwdriver inserted into 1 corner kept everything in alignment while I replaced the 1st fastener in the opposite corner.
The drawer slides are smooth, with a closure detent. They are 2-part full-extension & have release-levers, the drawer can be easily removed / re-inserted for cleaning. But they are 'light-duty' slides - if you buy the 5" Penta model, don't fill it w/ ultra-heavy stuff.”
“I pre ordered this drawer thinking it would be a great addition to my rack. It finally came in and it is outstanding! I need it to store vinyl cleaning things etc and there is plenty of room for that and more. The drawer slides are ball bearing and the drawer kind of stays shut in place with a detent. As with the rest of the rack it installs easily without tools. The only thing to consider is it must be installed from the bottom of the rack which means amps etc need to be removed to disassemble and instal. I would highly recommend this productf iif you need some out of sight storage. I would assume the 5 inch is of equal quality”

Actually, with a little bit of massaging, we find you can remove the top platform and install the drawer from the top. Then screw the top bolts back in and hand tighten with the tubes below.
