“I’ve been slowly upgrading my streaming system. Several years ago I experimented with generic Cat8 cables & was delighted by the signal improvement compared to Cat5, 6 or 7 cables. My house has Cat6e cables in the walls.
The modem, router & switch are about 50 feet from the stereo streamer. I bought a 1 meter Pangea SE just to go from the wall plug to my iFi Zen Stream, replacing a 9 foot length of Amazon Cat8 ribbon.
The stereo imaging is improved big time. The overall tone, PRAT, deep bass & overall sound of my system didn’t change one bit. Now w/the Pangea SE, the musicians are more spread out shoulder to shoulder. Not bunched up or focused in the center between the speakers. Ex: when the song is a duet, both singers have their own space - with an arms length between them on some songs.
Heck of a deal for $30! This was my first Pangea cable. Won’t be the last.”
