“I researched the entire line of Parasound amplifiers and chose the Halo A 23+ based on what I was replacing. I was apprehensive due to the lack of any substantial reviews on the web but gave it a shot anyhow.
The build quality is top-shelf and the performance rivals anything above it's price point, and more so above it. Driving some Martin Logan Motion 60's (previous gen), this amp has exceeded my expectations. After about 30 hours I've noticed the increased immediacy in the sound stage and the attack of the bass notes is pretty astounding considering how cool this amp runs. I wasn't interested in anything Class D; had to be Class AB... and this amp delivers on the Parasound promise of neutral delivery.
I will note that this amp does produce a very subtle 60HZ hum but you have to have your ear right next to the bass drivers to detect it. I also wish the gain knobs had some graduated, stepping to them. With the rear of the amp facing away, it would be nice to count steps from either extreme. But that's a small nit. Overall very pleased with the performance of this linear amp.”
