“It so easy to upgrade your debut carbons red to blue just pull one out and put the other in. I was shocked how much better everything sounded. Bass was tighter, highs were cleaner without glare, soundstage was wide and deep. The Blue tracking in another league compared to the red, the crackles and pops are less evident, The blue plays to the end of the side cleaner without grain or glare. Add the acrylic platter and i's like you just replaced the debut carbon with a 1500 dollar table. In the future I will upgrade to a VPI till then this modest investment is very satisfying. Highly recommended.”
“I've had my Pro-ject Debut Carbon turntable for over a year now and done a handful of upgrades (acrylic platter, upgraded cables, stylus replacement). All of them have been worthwhile, but this stylus replacement from Ortofon red to blue has been -by far- the most significant. The improvement in the tonal quality is immediately evident, as is the increased detail in all genres of music.
