“I had excellent service from Audio Advisor, as usual. I have been doing business with them for more than 10 years. I spoke with Caleb who was quite knowledgeable about the products available and very helpful. I required a custom length (short) cable gong between my speaker and cross over. I was replacing some shorter hand made cables. These new cables provided greater detail and much more high end energy. It really complemented the naturalness of the sound I was hoping for. Highly recommended, both product and Audio Advisor.”
“These are really good cables, maybe the best I've seen at this price. The banana terminals look like the same used on the Audioquest, meaning they are really flexible. I wish we had the option to order these with more of a premium banana terminal like the pure copper bananas made by Viborg.”
“Wanted to try something different to see what improvements a cable could do in current system. Not a denier that cables sound different, but have a problem what some are considered worth these days.
All things remaining the same in the system (and after some burn in though they sounded good out of the box), these brought an extension and refinement to the upper frequencies most notably, over the solid core 12ga runs I've been using of another mainstream "entry" level cable. Really glare free. Which is what I was really looking for.
No loss in bass extension, midrange slightly improved. Things snapped into a little better focus and clarity. Spatial queues more apparent (even noticed tape hiss on a familiar recording I hadn't before) adding more perceived depth to the presentation. A hearty recommendation for a reasonably priced very good performing cable. Probably don't need any more than this.
Using in a relatively modest but pretty revealing system. Bel Canto CD trans, Mytek Brooklyn Bridge, Cherry amp, Spatial M5 spkrs. Zu Event XLR analog and Canare digital interconnects.”
“Purchased to replace the glorified zip cord (14 AWG) that's been on my system for many years. The AP is high quality build and excellent value compared to other offerings. After installing, I played Linda Ronstadt's What's New LP (Sumiko Blue Point 2 cartridge). I find female vocals are a great way to benchmark changes to a system. I immediately noticed an unpleasant grainy quality to her voice. After verifying with a Julie London LP, I checked the stylus tracking force and sure enough, it was slightly above the top of the range. (Note: This also impacts the vertical tracking angle....) I adjusted VTF the to the middle of the range (difference of 0.25 grams) and as if by magic, Linda's voice became what I remember. NET: The Analysis Plus Oval 12 revealed something bad in my system that was not evident from my glorified zip cord. I'm now a believer in the audibility of speaker cables, and the quality of these Analysis Plus offerings.”
