We went to the Warner Bros Studios at the weekend to do the Harry Potter tour. Absolutely brilliant. The tour is very well organised and full of incredible stage props and sets along with interactive things to see and do. We timed it right by booking a morning slot, so avoided most of the crowds, which had started to form around lunchtime. Didn't eat there so can't comment on the food, but I had a butterbeer ice cream and my friend had a butterbeer, quite expensive but when in Rome :o) Overall a fantastic day out, even if, like us, you haven't finished the whole film series yet.

A great attraction for those who love Harry Potter. I've been before, but this time decided to go in November to see the Christmas decorations - which made the studios even more magical than it already is. The Hogwarts express is also a fantastic new addition to the studios. Try the butter beer from the cafe and make sure you buy a chocolate frog from the gift shop as they make great souvenirs!

My sister is a BIG Harry Potter fan, so for her birthday this year we decided to head down to the Harry Potter studios near London. I'd heard great things from friends who had visited before but didn't really know what to expect. During the first part of the tour you get to see some of the main sets used in the films (from the Great Hall to the Weasley's Bungalow) plus some of the costumes worn by the actors. Afterwards you head outside to see some of the external sets (including Privet Drive) where there's also a stand selling refreshments, including the famous butterbeer. I personally hated it, but my sister loved it! The 2nd half lets you see some of the prosthetics and special effects, as well as Diagon Alley and finally a massive scale model of Hogwarts. This part was probably my favourite! Overall the whole tour feels completely magical and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone thinking of going. My mum isn't the biggest Harry Potter fan but even she enjoyed herself!

I went to the Harry Potter studio tour on my birthday- it’s difficult to describe but it’s ‘magical’! They had all the Christmas decorations up which made it even more so! The staff really know how to make the experience as magical as possible- on arrival, the guide asked anybody who’s birthday it was to come up to the front and open the door to the Great Hall so I got up there, counted down from 10 and pushed the doors open with all the other kids :) The studios are amazing, you see all the costumes and props they used on set and really appreciate all the work the props team put into bringing the books to life. The attention to detail is extraordinary- walking around the sets, you get a sense of nostalgia as you remember all the scenes the props were used in and then heart-wrenching sadness as wish all this stuff was real..! There’s even a broom flying experience which I did. There was a bit of a queue but it was worth it in the end as you get to wear the robes and ‘fly around’ on a broom stick! Also, really impressed by the range of the merchandise in the shop- they have everything from replica wands, collectible models, school robes, and tons of sweets that are featured in the books! I ended up buying several chocolate frogs for the train back.
