This theme park is really, really awesome and you will want to go again and again and again. I would also recommend getting a Fast Pass to make the most of the day.

Received tickets fine , but portaventura was bursting waste of time as all queue times for rides were unreal , avoid in summer holidays!

I got tickets quickly and went to the parks the adventure park was really pretty good and my wee boy liked the rides but queues were really long and you have to quite a bit extra for fast passess. The water park is a joke, there are rediculous rules like children are not allowed to wear inflatable arm bands, no sun glasses in the pools and the height restrictions for the flumes were rediculous as heights were wrongly measured. My little boy measures 1m 21 but was showing about 4 inches shorter than this so did not get on simple rides. really spoiled his day. Queing to get into the waterpark was completely disorganised and took about an hour to get in.

My wife is disabled and we had 3 children with us. We bought a two day pass. On arrival on the first day we went to guest relations as advised for my wife to get a wrist band to allow her to easier and quicker access to the rides. The lady at the desk explained that she could only put a maximum of 4 on the wrist band as this was the rules which we accepted. We then proceeded to enjoy all that the park had to offer and I have to say the park is brilliant. It was clean, well managed and had reasonable prices for food and drink. For those that are disabled it is worth noting that there is quite an uphill climb from the train station to the park with no means of transport to get there. During this first day my wife was able to use the disabled entrance and we were all able to get on the rides as a family on most rides but there were some that would say that she could only be accompanied by one person and some said two. When we tried to explain that the most of the rides lets us ride as a family they wouldn't listen and were totally inflexible. My understanding of these wrist bands and the practice of all other theme parks that I have visited (euro Disney, Alton towers, chasing ton etc) is that these bands are to make it easier for those that are disabled and there families to enjoy the rides. Not being able to ride as a family unit would have meant my wife going on first with a helper and then the rest of the family having to join the main que for up to 1.5 hours. I have no problem with this but it means that my wife has to hang around in the extreme heat with nowhere near to shelter or to sit. As I know most families will agree when I say that there is more fun on the rides travelling together rather than separately. On the second day we reported to guest relations to get the wrist band for the second day to be told that we could only have 2 people on the band. I explained that we were given one the previous day for 4 people. She claimed that the girl the previous day was wrong to do that. No amount of Reasoning persuaded her to change her mind. This totally destroyed our second and last day at the resort. My plea to PortVentura would be please consider the whole family of a disabled person and be flexible like all theme parks.

I bought the 7 day pass. 5 days theme park and 2 days water park. It was brilliant value for money. Much better value than purchasing tickets when you arrive. It also means you can avoid queuing at the busy ticket boxes :) I recommend this park :)

Tricked into thinking a different sort of tickets, shady "smart" marketing

Not sure what to expect, I have done Orlando 4 times and regularly do Thorpe park and Alton towers. There are some amazing rides well laid out and everyone was very helpful. I would recommend getting the express pass as the queues are really long for the top rides. Great idea to get the tickets before, as there were long queues to purchase tickets which we just skipped past. And a second day for free was a real bonus so we went back at night to try the best rides again. So great park and a great offer as the tickets were cheaper then on the door :)
