I bought tickets for a three day one park ticket (we went early May before the water park opened so only needed one park) a few days before leaving for our holiday and it was super easy. The tickets were sent to my email and I printed them off and just had to scan the barcode at the gate. they were also really good as you can use them anytime within 7 days of your first trip so we went on a Saturday, Tuesday and Friday. As we went early May the park wasn't super busy but definitely a lot busier on the Saturday so would recommend going on a weekday. The park itself is amazing, it has a number of themed lands with loads of different types of rides which means it's good for us who like the big roller coasters and the shows but would also be good for kids and families as there was a lot of smaller rides and shows for them. If you've never been before and are not sure I would definitely recommend going for more than one day as it took us the three to fully go and see everything we wanted to and go on some of the bigger rides more than once which was good. Going for more days also works out cheaper per day so was good for us too as we were on a budget. The only thing price wise however is things like food and souvenirs within the park are quite expensive but then they always are in theme parks so make sure you budget for that. I've been here many times when I was a kid and now an adult and would definitely recommend it for any age and wouldn't go to the Costa daurada/ Salou area without a trip here!

(So for context to this review, I'd just got back from riding every major ride in Orlando less than a fortnight earlier.) Wow! Is all I can say about the rides at PortAventura. We really didn't expect them to be faster, longer and more intense than the best Florida can offer, but they were. From Furious Baco amazing us with speed, through to Shambhala seemingly never ending; it was day packed with adrenaline way beyond our expectations. We actually went on a few of the rides marked as moderate to take a breather between the big stuff. The shows we caught were cool (not hugely our thing), the food was typical prices and quality (about €16 for a meal deal) for a theme park and the park was clean and tidy. We went as a change of pace, midway through a Barcelona break and found it really easy to visit the park taking just an hour on the train (tickets were about €8 from the Sants station and left from either platform 9 or 10). As lovely as Gaudi is, this was definitely more exciting!

Excellent time, queues better during the week compared to weekend.

Portaventura is absolutely amazing! Plenty for kids of all ages, plenty of food for every taste and amazing shows to watch. The parade at the end of the day is a must to stay and watch

We booked the two days ticket. Money well spent on our holiday.

PortAventura never fails to provide a brilliant trip. Even when the park is at max capacity i.e. Halloween, everything is run smoothly although the wait for rides can be slightly heartbreaking.
