Great value for the length of time on the trip. Tour leader was informative.

Thus was an excellent day out. We started with sunrise in the Thingvellir National Park, and finished at the Geyser Basin, calling at a small but very interesting Rock Museum on our way back to Reykjavik

Our favourite day of the holiday! We went in January so the snowy landscapes left you breathless. We saw the spectacular Gullfoss waterfall where you can see the mists and rainbows rise out of it and walked through the Þingvellir National Park to enjoy the sunrise from the top of the hill. The geysers were also astonishing, despite the smell of rotten eggs in the air, it’s spectacular to see geysers shoot 100ft into the air every 10 minutes! On the way back we also got to see some Icelandic Horses unique to the country and saw some barren snowscapes with snow-capped mountains which looked like something straight out of Interstellar or Star Wars! The coach had comfortable seating and was warm at all times which was pretty handy for those travelling in the winter! One of the best tours in Iceland.

If you only have time to do one tour in Iceland I’d 100% recommend this one. It was my favourite day of our trip! We were picked up from our guesthouse at around 8.30am, and were dropped off at the main bus terminal where we exchanged our e-ticket. We then boarded the coach and left Reykjavik at around 9am. We visited in January so it was freezing outside. Make sure you wrap up warm if you’re visiting in winter! The National Park is beautiful and we were lucky enough to see the sunrise while there. The waterfall and geysirs were also stunning to look at. I couldn’t stop taking pictures! On the way back we also stopped off at a Horse Park for 20 minutes, where we could use the toilets and stroke the horses. Not sure if they do this on every tour but it was a great way to end the day.
