Six of us went to New York for the first time - we bought the New York pass and made very good use of it to see all the sights we wanted to.

If you want to pack a lot in and have already researched where you want to go, this is ideal. You get queue jump with many of the the attractions, so it can help you save time as well as money as well. We had the pass for three days and visited Top of the Rock, took the New York Water Taxi (brilliant), The Natural History Museum, MOMA, Ground Zero and Central Park Zoo. We also got discounts at a couple of restaurants - it's worth reading the guide book to see the added extras you can get but it covers everything from cycle hire to night cruises and money of Broadway Tickets. Top tip: make sure you set the pass to start running on the right day because time counts down from the first time you use it.

My husband and I wanted to do all the tourist attractions on our short 4 night break. We stayed in midtown and were in walking distance to all the main attractions with the exception of Battery Park. We purchased the three day pass and saved loads of money by fitting in Madame Tussards (bad weather) Top of the Rock (clear night) Intrepid War, Space and Submarine museum (bad weather) Big Bus tour of Upper Manhattan / Harlem( beautiful sunshine) The Ride(Sunset but you have to que early morning on the day, no advance bookings taken) Statue of Liberty(Early morning sunshine) , Ellis Island (early morning sunshine) September 11 Memorial Museum (sunshine) and the Empire State Building (sunset). You need to plan your time to ensure you can fit in an much as you can to make it worth while along with the shopping, dinning and shows (not included in pass). Que's may look long but plan ahead and go to the busier attractions early or late as the pass does not really have fast track. Highly recommended!
