“The description did not make it clear, but this chair is a ROCKER as well as a Recliner. You can't lock it (so as not to rock), and hence getting up from the chair requires you to adjust it to the default (non-reclined) position. Insufficient support for an elderly person to get in or out.
It functions very well: a single-button control that elevates the footrest and slowly reclines the back at the same time.
It's comfortable - comes with a small cushion for support, but I find I don't need that.
The motor and frame of the chair are quite heavy, so it's fine if in a fixed position, but you wouldn't want to be moving it often.
Overall, we're pleased with it.”
