Plasticky at all - more like suede but an easier surface to clean. I love the slightly patterned surface. They are a great price compared to other chairs on the market. I love the style with the black legs - the table we’ve ordered from the Acumen collection has black spider legs. Haven’t received it yet. I think they’ll intertwine well. Chairs are lovely & warm & comfortable to sit on. I’m sure my grandkids will have a wonderful time with the swivel function. The only negative I would say is that the chairs don’t all line up size and shape wise. I have six chairs & as I align them around my table they slope slightly differently & the angles on the chairs vary. I’m hoping I won’t notice this in weeks to come - when I’ll probably stop thinking about what my furniture looks like. But if you’re looking for perfectly aligned chairs - these might not meet your mark. Unless Atlantic stores corrects this?
I still love the chairs for the price - I just have to be less obsessional about perfect matching & alignment.
Slightly disappointing because we bought some pink & wooden bar stools from this company that are perfectly equal. My friend who put them together thought they were beautifully made &
