“I would not recommend these unfinished doors at all !!! I had mine fitted just 6 months ago and the cill has split badly at the base of the doors as well as one fixed panel and one door which also have splits in them! Both of these were installed following installation instructions, the cill was not painted on the under edge ….. but was clearly a fault as the split was along a join running the full length of the cill , suggesting two pieces of wood were fixed together to make the cill ….not element damage!!! I was told by aspire my guarantee didn’t stand when I asked for compensation ’just to pay for the repair not a replacement I might add’ as I hadn’t painted the underside!!!!! I now stand to pay for the repair to 6 month old doors and have to see this imperfection every day !!! ☹️”

Hi Denise, Thank you for taking the time to write your feedback, and we're of course sorry to hear that you're dissatisfied. As you mention in your review, the underside of your frame / cill section was not painted on site like the rest of the set - it was left completely untreated. As we explained in our emails to you, this means that over the last 6 months water has been soaked up into the unprotected timber, and resulted in the swelling and splitting of the cill along the joint line. While we will always do what is reasonably possible to assist our customers, unfortunately we cannot cover the cost to repair an issue that's been caused by the incomplete treatment of a door set. If you would like to discuss any of this further, or would like any additional advice on repairing the set, then please just let us know and we'll assist in any way we can.
