“This is my third pullover from Arthur Beale...and destined to become my favourite. Last year I bought a Guernsey and an Erebus. I wore the Erebus almost continuously through Autumn, Winter and Spring...I felt naked without it. I live in a rural area and am outside a lot of the time; we also have a relatively cool and draughty house, so a warm jumper is my garment of choice. As an ex-sheep farmer, the smell and feel of oiled wool is very special to me. I think the closer knit style of the Beerenburg and the rolled neck will be ideal when out in the wind with my dogs or away in my Campervan on cold nights-and it just feels so comfortable, I really don't like taking it off. Size has always been a problem for me-with all clothing: I am 5' 10" with a 47" chest, 38" waist but a relatively long back and (ridiculously) short arms. I bought my Erebus in 2XL but, although I love it, it is a bit baggy. So, I ordered my Beerenburg in XL and I think it is about right for me. The arms are still a bit long but that is just my shape. I love the Dark Grey Natural colour too. Overall, I am delighted with my Beerenburg and think it will serve me well for a long time. I might well buy another, if only to persuade people I do have more than one item of clothing.”
“A very well made warm jumper, slightly disappointed that the thumb holes and some seams are no longer reinforced with canvas, but nevertheless a very well made jumper. Warm not too itchy, but a base layer, in my personal opinion, would be a good idea.”
“The best jumpers you can buy, so warm and comfortable as soon as you wear it, you can see the quality and feel it as well if you want a snug fit get your normal size if you want a bit of room go a size up either way you won’t be disappointed.
