“After using APH at Gatwick 5 times I thought Stanstead would be the same, how wrong can you be!! We had to lug our cases across a muddy yard full of water-filled potholes. We were told it was best to wait to use the toilets at the airport as we would not like the ones on site.
I didn't want to leave my car but had no option as the flight was booked”
“The car park was easy to find and not far from the airport, but the surface was quite rough and I didn't fancy dragging my cases over it. The drop-off and pick-up went OK. Unfortunately my car was boxed in and there were no keys for the car causing the problem so we had quite a delay in getting away. The staff were friendly enough.”
“A rather poor visit. On arrival 12 people were waiting for a transit and an 8 seat bus was laid on. The driver shrugged when we asked if another bus would be put on but only after some directly asking the control desk to generate the second bus (to meet flight times etc) they got the second bus going. Otherwise several of us would have waited a long time.
Same on return. Called the desk on collection of baggage to find 20 people waiting at the pick up site, one 8 seat bus doing the runs. Again after a call to request a second bus, it was finally generated after some cajoling. Disappointing service given what it costs to park on a piece of gravel wasteland.”
“Had to wait 40 minutes to be picked up from car park which is a 5 minute run, which put us behind at the airport.
Need to run two transfer buses when busy one thinks”
“We were satisfied with the service we received. The drop-off procedure was straightforward. We did drive right past the gate to begin with as we weren't expecting it so soon. No problem as easy to turn around in the adjacent hotel car park. Easy transfer to the terminal. On return, you just phone up and you are collected by a minivan 9remeber to have your ticket to hand). The traffic at the terminal was horrendous, but it's probably always like that and not APHs fault. Our car was ready upon return and the handover procedure is again straightforward. Note that the car park is gravel, so difficult to pull wheeled cases along.”
