“The car park itself is fine. Easy to access and buses to the airport are frequent. But returning to the car park was very unsatisfactory from the new terminal 2. The bus stop was not clearly signed. All jetpark buses use one stop, which led to a huge queue. When the jetparks 3 bus arrived there was a huge scramble of people to get on, many of who then realised they were fighting to get on the wrong bus. The old system of separate clearly marked bus stops was a much better system, especially when you are transporting tired, travel weary passengers. Given the money spent by Manchester airport on the new terminal, it was ridiculous that the jetparks transport had been so poorly catered for.”
“Value car parking in comparison towards other places. Due to this reason, it was very difficult to find a car parking space and when I eventually did it was a small space, therefore take care of you have a big and wide car.”
“Easy enough to find the car park but not so easy to find a space. A lot of the parking areas were a dead end so didn't drive down those.
After finding a space it was no trouble to get to a bus stop and a bus arrived after 10 mins.
On our return it was dark and difficult to see the right time to stop the bus, we knew the stop number but they were not in order. Other people seemed to know when to request the bus to stop, perhaps I missed something.”
“I wouldn’t recommend this car park at all. It says the bus runs every 15 mins but you’ll be waiting a minimum of 40 minutes due to the fact the buses are extremely small and they are always full. You get told to wait until the next bus comes, and then the next bus comes and tells you to wait for the next one and it goes on and on.
Finding somewhere to park is a task in its self as the car park is absolutely rammed and cars were having to park in places that weren’t even spaces such as the side of the roads in the car park.”
“It's difficult to review an airport car park because they are inevitably essential unless you live within a short taxi ride of the airport. The overall process of booking and parking is fairly straightforward, however , at busy times you can drive in circles looking for a space. Again , at busier times , getting a courtesy bus to the terminals can be hit and miss especially returning from the airport to the car park. Like most car parking around the airport charges have rocketed in recent times. But , overall it's a decent service .”
“We have used this carpark a great deal in the past without any issues. Our last use of this carpark was Sept 18 to 28. On this occasion at 4am, the carpark seemed very busy. Given the volume of people, there didn't appear sufficient buses to cope. We had an 20 minute wait for a bus. This wasn't so bad as weather was mild, but had it been cold and wet, it would have been a slightly different experience.
The next info I provide is 'Hear-say' from other passengers on outer return. Many commented on their initial arrival at Jet Park 3 with heavy rain and flooding. The access road was flooded and posed an significant concern as to whether cars could safely pass through. Others had been concerned that their cars had been parked with water rising at certain points in the carpark. The flooding will not have been a one off so for us, we will now use a different carpark, safer in the knowledge that the flooding factor will not be a concern.”
