“Firstly APH instructions for entry to the car park and the process for handing over your keys is outdated. You do not need to take a ticket upon entry as it is all done via ANPR therefore you do not have a ticket to hand over with your keys. This caused a little confusion with staff otherwise the ANPR entry system is very straight forward and smoooth.
The problems come on your return. The key collection system is very simple but finding your car isn't. We arrived back in the dark and it was raining, our key ticket told us we were in the Red Zone section G. Easy enough to find the Red Zone but the complete lack of any signs or markings to indicate where section G is is very frustrating. Luckily our car was on the front row so I found it by using the key fob to flash the indicators. Then you have a similar problem trying to find the exit which is not signed at all. On finding it the ANPR facility didn't work for us so we had to use the intercom for staff to raise the barrier.
Apart from the initial instructions provided by APH which should be easy to amend, the major problems of signage are beyond their control as the car park is owned by Manchester Airport.”
