“Transfer to the airport was fine but on our return we were waiting 50minutes for the bus in the cold and wet early hours of the morning. We texted as soon as we had our cases and also rang..we were told the bus was on its way but we waited so long we were just about to get a taxi in desperation.”
“Not as good as it used to be. Note the APH service is located about 5-10 minutes away from Manchester airport and passengers are bused to the airport. It is a secure car park.
Prices have gone up considerably since last used, infact, more than doubled for a 7 day holiday. Set that against rising prices and wage inflation though. Very early morning transfer went well and it was busy considering it was 3 am.
The problems came with the collection. Considering that APH has prior knowledge of flight No's and landing times they should be able to run the number of buses required accordingly. Simply, not enough buses were running and a long queue had built up. After a long wait, some passengers were left feeling frustrated when the bus became full and they had to wait for the next one. Other collecting buses from other companies seemed to be running more frequently.”
