“Trip out was good. friendly service and quick bus service. However on landing we had to wait at least 30 mins for the transfer bus back to the car park, which felt unacceptable after a long journey. The bus was very busy and so I feel more buses should be put on at peak season.”
“Pros - Short wait for transfer both to and from the airport, 10ish mins transfer time was accurate, Post code takes you to the correct location.
Cons - The importance of the small paper receipt, given to you on entry, is not obvious. You need this for catching the return bus and exiting the car park (There is no number plate recognition and you need the bar code). We were stuck at the barrier rummaging around for it, after discarding it thinking we just needed it for the transfer.”
“Overall I was pleased with the parking, location and bus service (despite the 3* rating)
What I was not happy with was on return from my holiday I was greeted with a large dent and scratch on my drivers side door.
I understand this was no fault of APH but there is nothing in place to help unfortunate customers who find themselves in this situation.
I waited for help for 25 minutes only to be told there was nothing that APH could do. They couldn’t even check the cameras which I thought would be straight forward. Just look in the spot I was parked at for a week and see who parked next to me and hit my car.
Overall I did not leave in the best of mood.”
“Arrived after heavy rain to find large areas of the Self Park flooded. Our area was under water so we were redirected to another. Had to navigate around the flooded area to get to a pickup point. The bus (both go to and return journeys) was very overcrowded with no help from the driver with luggage.
On our return at 2 am found the car park badly lit and no staff on hand to help.”
