“Such a simple process. Drive up to gate, let the camera recognise number plate. Drive in and park up. Walk across the internal bridge to go straight to security, of down the ground floor to check in luggage.
When arriving back from your trip, just drive to the exit barriers and allow the camera to read the number plate again and lift. No tickets, no machines. I paid about £5 more than the cheapest off site parking. Saving the waits for buses and transfers times and staying dry if raining, was so worth it.”
“This is a perfect location very close to the terminal. It’s only a couple of minutes walk to the front entrance of the airport. I booked online and it was very easy to access the carpark. Just arrived and approached the barrier and the cameras recognised the vehicle and my name and opened up with no waiting. The same routine at the end of my stay meant there was no paper tickets to be handled at all. The carpark is clean and safe with lots of undercover spaces as well as some outdoor spaces. It’s a bit pricier than the other options, however, for a 5 day break it was well worth the little bit extra. The weather was very wet and windy on our return to Glasgow at the start of ‘storm Amy’, so it was great to be able to get from the Terminal to the carpark under cover for most of the two minutes walk!”
“Convenient, but I struggled to get a space on Tuesday morning, eventually squeezing into a space where I could hardly open my car door. Had to wrap my jacket round my door to avoid damaging my car and the car next to me which was parked outside of the bay. Very small spaces also very bad parking with many cars parked outside of the bays making it impossible to use them. Also expensive, £65 for 2 days. Using Edinburgh airport next week paying £39.99 in the multi-storey for the same period inc. fast track.”
