“Usually the parking at EMA has been excellent and trouble free on multiple visits over several years.
On this occasion I felt that a combination of circumstances made for a few (relatively minor) difficulties which were hopefully very much one-offs?
It was raining very heavily upon arrival early morning and the barrier didn't lift automatically for the car in front of us who had to reverse off slightly and then had to contact control i.e. a few minutes wasted. The same situation then repeated itself with my car as if the camera wasn't recognising number plates automatically.
It was then a pity that there is no covered way or weather protection when walking towards departures!
Upon return the signage to the exit barriers was somewhat lacking, especially with many of the road markings being worn and in need of repainting. Thus much zig-zagging along rows rather than being able to facilitate a direct driving route.
Upon eventual arrival at the exit barrier it was seemingly in a permanent open position i.e, we were able to drive straight out, though only after stopping briefly to ensure that it didn't come down unexpectedly!
Hence this raises questions about security whereby vehicles could seemingly drive both in and out unchecked? The barrier also remained up after my exit.
Summary:- perhaps unusual but on this occasion problems on both entry and exit and hence disappointing ratings with the standards on the day!”
“Close to terminal building, I have arthritis and found the walk not too far. As a blue badge holder, the disabled spaces should be reservable on a 1st come 1st served basis, by giving our badge reference number and then being given a numbered disabled parking space, this should stop other drivers parking in these designated spaces who probably are not blue badge holders. Or make certain areas of all car parks solely for blue badge holders.”
“Problem 1. Picked up a luggage trolley in arrivals on arriving at mid stay 3 our trolley was difficult to push into the next trolley at the trolley park. Only managed to get my £1 back after physically lifting the trolleys in front. Why are things so difficult??
Problem 2. On trying to exit your car park at 16.45 approx the barrier refused to raise. So after having prebooked and payed and given my reg number. Iam still not allowd to exit. When I pressed the help button a lady did answer she asked for my reg number, but then the barrier lifted and no appology came forth.
Treat customers like that then another company should be handed the contract.
